SF Youthworks is a paid internship program for 11-12th graders who want a career helping their community. SF YouthWorks provides paid job readiness workshops, training, and internships at different SF City Departments such as the Public Utilities Commission, the Public Library, and the SF International Airport. Greenager Program is for high school students who live in or attend school in San Francisco’s Tenderloin, southeast, or northeast neighborhoods. This youth leadership and stewardship program, run by the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department in partnership with Port of San Francisco, takes place from February to August. Participants have the opportunity to lead and inspire their community by enhancing the city’s green spaces, developing place-based projects, and enjoying exciting team-building adventures. YMCA Aquatics Workforce Development Pathway program is a paid internship that provides leadership opportunities for teens and young adults 16-24 years of age. They gain the technical skills needed to be able to work in the YMCA non-profit environment in the Youth Development, Aquatics, Seniors & healthy living departments.
