Organizations to Join

  • SF CHANGE is a student led community organization that helps advance the new generation of education. If you are interested in education and advocacy, you can apply to be a Workshop Director. Workshop Directors plan and facilitate workshops to present to students around San Francisco.

    Some of the topics include mental health, resume building, drug prevention, and more, and you can earn $150 while making an impact on your community!! @sf.change

Publications and Contests

  • Margins Literary Magazine is a student-run, twice-a-year literary magazine that seeks to amplify diverse voices of young writers and artists, ages 13-19, including BIPOC, nonbinary, LGBTQIA+, women, working class, neurodivergent, and people with disabilities. Submit artwork, poetry or flash fiction for a chance to be published. Subject matter is open, but work exploring themes of social justice, identity, belonging, diversity, migration, family, and the environment are especially welcome.   • Bay Area Creative Youth Awards are open to all San Francisco Bay Area high school students, who are invited to submit creative work across seven artistic categories: Creative Writing, Dance, Film, Music Performance, Original Music, Photography and Visual Art.
